"He's doing fine," Mark Sauser said. "He's back at school. He's back playing in the band at CBHS."
Sauser's son was one of three peopleattacked in the parking lot of Kroger.Investigators say a group of teens came rushing through the Poplar Plaza parking lot and randomly attacked anyone in their way. Much of the attack was caught on camera.
"When I saw the video of him being beaten up, it was anger and also a lot of pain. In fact, I haven't been able to watch it again," Sauser said.
Sauser is trained as a clinical social worker. He says he's worked closely with troubled youth for much of his life. He would ask them three questions if given the opportunity: "What were you thinking? What were you doing? Why did you do it?"
