Time is getting short. August 6th is the Tennessee Senate Primary and it matters who governs. The good news is Tennessee gets to say bye Felicia to RINO Lamar Alexander, the bad news is President Trump has once again endorsed a Mitch McConnell Republican to replace him.
I love our president but he can't possibly know the ins and outs of all these races all over the country. Alabama was a prime example of how his endorsement really messed up the mid terms for the MAGA candidate which was Mo Brooks. POTUS endorsed Luther Strange but Alabama didn't want Strange. Roy Moore was able to capitalize on this split within the party and he won the primary but Moore was not a good candidate in my humble opinion. The moral of the story? The presidents endorsement didn't ensure victory for Strange.
Right now we have a chance here in Tennessee to send a great MAGA candidate to D.C. to be more like Ted Cruz and less like Mitt Romney. I will be telling you more about Dr. Manny Sethi in the future (follow him on Twitter) but first let's fully vet Bill Hagerty and arm you with the knowledge you need to inform your friends and family who will be voting. POTUS has endorsed Hagerty yet we the people of Tennessee are responsible for electing the right candidate, not POTUS. I will continue updating this post as I get new information so keep checking back....
So, Who Is Bill Hagerty?
Bill served as an economic advisor and White House Fellow under President George W. Bush. Hagerty's street cred within the D.C. swamp goes way back. In 2008 he served as national finance chairman in the Mitt Romney presidential campaign. No need to take a shower yet, it gets worse.....
In the early stages of the 2016 election Hagerty was nominated to serve on the ballot as a delegate for Jeb Bush. It's hard to believe there really were people who supported Jeb Bush and actually thought he had a chance of winning "without his base" but I digress. After low-energy Jeb couldn't buy even one state with his 150 million he threw his support to Marco Rubio. He sure knows how to pick em doesn't he?
After the GOP received received their smack-down , realized Trump was their candidate, and that their was nothing they could do about it, Hagerty served as Trump Victory Chair for Tennessee. After the election Trump selected Hagerty for his presidential transition team. How that happened is a mystery but I have it on good authority that Hagerty's presence on the transition team was largely the reason it was so difficult for Trump to get MAGA people working within his administration and why it was so easy for Never Trumpers to make it through with flying colors.
Jeb Bush delegate and Mitt Romney finance chairman....who couldn't see that one coming?
OK, now that we have established Hagerty's Bush/Rubio/Romney loser think connections.. let's look at the red flags.
RED ALERT!!!🚨# 1
Trump appointed Bill Hagerty to lead his presidential transition team along with Rick Dearborn. Rick Dearborn was Jeff Session's chief of staff. Jeff Sessions was one of the biggest disappointments from Trump's presidency. Dearborn also comes from the swamp having spent 25 years on capitol hill working under 6 senators and appointed by George W to work in the Department of Energy. I bring this up only to point out that the two people leading Trump's transition team were from the very swamp we elected the president to drain.
Trump supporters watched the whole transition process with concern and discouragement because we could see the establishment types were embedding themselves within Trump's administration and we were getting word that if you were MAGA you were persona non grata...many of us watched as those people who were avid Never Trumpers or lukewarm Trump supporters were getting hired while MAGA types who had done so much to help get this president elected were sidelined. It was a suckerpunch to those who led rallies and did GOTV efforts when the Republican Party itself seemed to be doing the bare minimum. There were GOP offices in Pennsylvania whose offices were closed in the months leading up to the election until they were called out by average citizens questioning them about where and what they were doing to get out the vote.
Greatagain.gov? If you were an active Trump supporter you know all about it. It was a website where you could go and apply for a job within the Trump administration.
"The site had over five hundred applications but strangely enough the resumes all disappeared.....some "computer glitch"
There were so many qualified people who were avid Trump supporters who were kept out of the Trump administration. It remains to this day as one of Trump's biggest obstacles to getting his agenda done. So many of us tried warning Trump about McMaster, Eric Ciaramella, and many others. If Trump had listened to his MAGA supporters instead of the Never Trumpers working in his admin we wouldn't be watching shampeachment right now.
Needless to say Greatagain.gov was a huge fail for MAGA, and you have to be very naive to think this didn't happen by design....
Bill Hagerty and Rick Dearborn led the transition team. Personnel is policy. They were at the top filling Trump administration with snakes who would later come back to bite him.
Personnel can be argued was and is Trump's achilles heel. Snakes in the garden continue to undermine Trump even as we speak. We can only hope that Trump's second term will not rely on people who have operated and profited from the swamp as it is currently setup. We elected Trump to drain the swamp, not to fill it with more swampy creatures.
Bill Hagerty is cut from the same cloth that Mitch McConnell and John McCain are, D.C. establishment types who are part of the Big Club. Republican voters have a tendency to fall for the "I'm a conservative" mantra that Republican candidates are good at promoting before they are elected but not so much the acting out of them after they are elected.
Yes President Trump has endorsed Bill Hagerty but it's up to Tennessee to vet our candidates and send Trump the MAGA support that he needs. You can vote for Hagerty and send another Lamar Alexander type to Congress or you can take a chance on Dr. Manny Sethi and upset the apple cart.
I know who I'm voting for and it's not #InsiderHagerty.
This is just part one...stay tuned for the Muslim Brotherhood connection I will post next week 👀
