Liberal billionaires ‘hijacking’ EPA: report

7/31/2014

Senate Republicans in a new report say they have uncovered troubling evidence of a complex money channel allowing billionaires to funnel money through charitable environmental groups to achieve their political agenda.

A report by the minority staff of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works contends that left-wing environmental groups and nonprofits are exploiting loopholes in nonprofit fiscal sponsorship regulations.

Louisiana Sen. David Vitter, the ranking Republican on the committee, told reporters Wednesday that the report raises questions about tax-deductible contributions from nonprofit groups eventually funding political activity.

According to the report, billionaire environmentalists funnel large amounts of money to environmental groups to lobby on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency.

In exchange for their lobbying efforts, the groups receive generous tax write-offs and federal grants and funding. The money is channeled through a complex, multilayered web of organizations, with little to no disclosure, making it almost impossible to track, according to the report.

What's Not Good For The Goose Is Good For The Gander? "not OK to spy on senators?"

Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan admitted Thursday that agency officials acted improperly when they hacked Senatecomputers, according to the Associated Press.

Dean Boyd, a spokesman for the CIA, said, the officials “acted in a manner inconsistent with the common understanding reached between [the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence] and the CIA in 2009.”

Brennan is now apologizing to senators, including Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., who accused the CIA earlier this year of possibly violating the Constitution.

IMF (International MOFO's) urges higher energy taxes to fight climate change

http://yhoo.it/1o9FBFv

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Energy taxes in much of the world are far below what they should be to reflect the harmful environmental and health impact of fossil fuels use, the International Monetary Fund said in a new book on Thursday. (Says the global elite cabal who wish to rule the world....)

For the first time, the IMF laid out exactly what it views as appropriate taxes on coal, natural gas, gasoline and diesel in 156 countries to factor in the fuels' overall costs, which include carbon dioxide emissions, air pollution, congestion and traffic accidents.

Under its chief, Christine Lagarde, the IMF has delved into the impact of climate change, arguing that tackling the fund's core mission of economic instability is impossible without also addressing environmental damage. (Hahahaha economice stability??? Are you kidding??? Look guys, your old play book of condescending to the masses isn't going to work anymore. We are on to you and we know that your endgame is not going to be "economic stability" but will be what you think of as controlled chaos..but lets keep playing along, at least until the end of this article...)

At the book's launch in Washington, Lagarde said countries should not have to wait for global agreement on climate policies, and instead should move ahead in adjusting energy prices on their own. (You know, because everyone loves a dictatorship...)

Nations are now working on a United Nations deal for late 2015 to rein in greenhouse gas emissions that have hit repeated highs this century, but progress has been slow as nations fret about the impact any measures could have on economic growth. (We must do something, anything, even if it doesn't work, you know because of feelings or something and it's only the intentions that matter right? Not the actual outcome?)

The IMF's book argues higher energy taxes should not hurt growth if done right. (Hahahaha you guys have to stop this, telling a funny in your non-fiction novel of good intentions..."should not hurt growth??? " Oh look, we raised energy taxes and the global economy crashed...did I do that??? We didn't think it would hurt growth... oh well, we meant well)

"On this point, let me be crystal clear: we are generally talking about smarter taxes rather than higher taxes," Lagarde said, according to prepared remarks for the launch of the book. (OK guys listen up...WHEN YOU HEAR THE WORD SMART BEFORE ANYTHING, KNOW THAT IT IS ANYTHING BUT SMART AND THEN RUN FOR YOUR LIFE...but I digress)

She said higher energy taxes are the most efficient and simple way of dealing with environmental harm and would allow governments to stop relying on a "patchwork" of other uncoordinated policies to deal with climate change, such as subsidies for renewable energy. (That patch work of "other uncoordinated policies to deal with climate change" just isn't dictatorial enough for the ruling elites)

Higher energy prices would prompt people to shift (FORCE) to cleaner fuels or more fuel-efficient vehicles on their own, Lagarde said, adding that they could also allow governments to lower other taxes on consumption or income to reduce the burden on people, or pay down more public debt. (Pay down more public debt? Are you listening to your self??? We have close to 200 TRILLION dollars in unfunded liabilities and you think an energy tax is going to pay off debt??? Surely you jest...)

The IMF estimates implementing efficient energy taxes would reduce deaths from fossil fuels by 63 percent, cut carbon emissions by 23 percent, and raise revenues by 2.6 percent of GDP for the world as a whole. (ROFLMAO HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...no need to deconstruct that, a 5 year old could read the holes in that sentence)

The IMF has made a big push in recent years for countries to rein in energy subsidies, which it says hurt the environment while rarely helping the most vulnerable and eating up valuable government funds that could be put to better use elsewhere. (I don't even know where to start deconstructing that sentence sentence so I won't. If you would like to, send me an email...)

"But we need to go well beyond the elimination of direct cash subsidies, and make sure that energy tax systems around the world properly reflect environmental side effects," Lagarde said in prepared remarks for the event on Thursday.

Christine sweetie, I know you don't understand this now, but the old ruling elite playbook where you guys get to appear smart and in control and we eat up what you say because we don't know better is over. The IMF, I have renamed International MOFO's, we aren't buying it anymore and your best laid plans WE CAN ONLY HOPE will go awry...

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Emory University Hospital is expected to receive a patient infected with the deadly Ebola virus within the next several days, the university announced Thursday.

It’s unclear when exactly the patient will arrive, according to a statement from Emory. The Clifton Road hospital has a specially built isolation unit to treat patients exposed to certain serious infectious diseases. Set up in collaboration with the Atlanta-based U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the unit is physically separate from other patient areas and is one of only four such facilities in the country.

This Is What Is Going To Happen If Ebola Comes To America/ Something to consider...

7/31/2014

If the worst Ebola outbreak in recorded history reaches the United States, federal law permits “the apprehension and examination of any individual reasonably believed to be infected with a communicable disease”.  These individuals can be “detained for such time and in such manner as may be reasonably necessary”.  In other words, the federal government already has the authority to round people up against their will, take them to detention facilities and hold them there for as long as they feel it is “reasonably necessary”.  In addition, as you will read about below, the federal government has the authority “to separate and restrict the movement of well persons who may have been exposed to a communicable disease to see if they become ill”.  If you want to look at these laws in the broadest sense, they pretty much give the federal government the power to do almost anything that they want with us in the event of a major pandemic.  Of course such a scenario probably would not be called “marital law”, but it would probably feel a lot like it.

If Ebola comes to America and starts spreading, one of the first things that would happen would be for the CDC to issue “a federal isolation or quarantine order”.  The following is what the CDC website says about what could happen under such an order…

If you don’t think you’re paying for this, you haven’t been paying attention to your food bill.

Here are the key points but read the whole thing...

Comedian Al Franken, who routinely embarrasses Minnesotans by impersonating a U.S. senator from their state, affirms that, “based on [his] conversations with [White House adviser] John Podesta and EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy,” the EPA is going to raise the ethanol requirement for fuel.

Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) argues, “The Renewable Fuel Standard is fundamentally broken and beyond repair. Instead of delivering meaningful environmental benefits, it’s driven up food and fuel costs for American families. This flawed program will also inevitably lead to widespread lawsuits against American manufacturers. When Congress enacts bad policy, the right response is to scrap it and start over.”

But the federal government’s ethanol mandates are proving to be a typical case study in how, once the state funds a program that the free market won’t, the political implications of that program make it virtually impossible to undo. Despite the lack of evidence for any net carbon emission reductions, the constriction and loss of biodiversity, the significant deforestation and soil erosion associated with increased grain production, the enormous impact on water quality and aquatic species, and the implications for starving children, the ethanol mandate lives on.

Oh, did I mention that gasoline engine mechanics, who work on everything from weed eaters to drag racers, affirm that ethanol is very destructive to engines and engine components? Did you know that ethanol combustion produces significantly more formaldehyde – which results in more than twice the amount of choking ozone smog? Or that ethanol also costs consumers a 15-cent premium per gallon?

All in the name of protecting the world from “climate change.”

A Different Take On The Whole "Judge Not" Thing.../ The Jackson Press

7/31/2014

My experience has taught me that there is one Bible verse that all of America believes…those who call themselves Christians as well as those who do not. These two words have become the standard by which all Americans are to live their daily lives. These words are, “Judge Not…!” ( Matthew 7:1)

I have previously written on this topic…way back in 2006.

In the interest of brevity, take time to read Who Are You To Judge? when you get a chance.

Last week we did a ministry outreach at a concert called “The Gathering of the Jugaloes.”

I am not an expert on the Jugaloes (WARNING: Link Contains Explicit Content).

According to the Urban Dictionary a jugalo is an ill-mannered and impressionable idiot.

Jugalo is also the name given to the followers of the group Insane Clown Posse.

Christians. . Please stay with me…this will be short and painless.

Executive Summary:   RockyTopPolitics.com

Governor goes on a secret closed-door education tour.  Invites only hand-picked participants for an “open dialogue” (snicker) about how to ram through the governor’s Common Core agenda — an agenda that stands to make some people very rich off our education tax dollars.  The meetings are set up by an organization whose lobbyist is the same lobbyist for the very company who will get rich from what the governor is trying to force onto the public schools.

Amidst all the well-deserved controversy surround Gov. Haslam’s secret education meetings (which excludes just about anyone who might disagree with the administration) is a major factoid gone almost completely unnoticed by the MSM.

While it has been reported in a couple of outlets that the governor’s office asked and relied on the Tennessee Organization of School Superintendents (TOSS) to  set up the secret meetings, the media missed an important connection:

twice-failed candidate for Georgia governor found himself in an uncomfortable position -- face-to-face with a mom furious

A twice-failed candidate for Georgia governor found himself in an uncomfortable position -- face-to-face with a mom furiouswith what he was trying to do this month with her teenage daughter.

Legal experts say what happened does not appear to be a crime, but the incident once again raises questions about actions involving Ray McBerry.

McBerry is a former high school teacher who now owns a cable TV station in Henry County. Several years ago his teaching license was suspended after he apologized for his behavior with a 16-year-old girl. But he sees nothing wrong with what happened with 18-year-old Kayla Gooch.

Her mom sure does.

"My mom. You don't mess with my mom, ok?" says Kayla.

When Kayla got a Facebook friend request from a stranger named Tara O'Neill, the scheduling coordinator for Girls of Dixie Modeling, telling her she had a big client in Henry County looking to hire someone part-time, Malena Gooch made sure the client was real.

"I took it she would be doing some local commercials in Henry County." Malena Gooch told Fox 5 I-Team reporter Randy Travis

Remember that Girls of Dixie name. Tara O'Neill.

She messaged her big client was Ray McBerry, the owner of KBN television in McDonough. Kayla went by herself to meet at his office. She says McBerry suggested a modeling shoot at High Falls Park.

"I was kind of excited, you know, because mostly I've never modeled before, said Kayla. "So I was like, oh, this is going to be fun. This is going to be so cool. But it got kind of weird when he told me I couldn't take anybody with me."

Kayla showed us her Facebook thread with McBerry. He first talks about how to get to the park:

"You could either meet me there or meet me at the office and ride down with me in the Camaro lol."

He asks for pictures of her wearing swimsuits "so I can tell how they look on you."

And he even sends her a photo of a woman in a tiny bikini because that Girls of Dixie modeling coordinator "Tara said she thought this swimsuit would be pretty on you because of your nice tan. What do you think?"

"I'd say he used his place of business and his stature to reel her in," Malena Gooch says. "To make her think that he was going to give her a job. Well, in fact all he had, all he wanted to do was get pictures of her."
