Deputy Won’t Be Charged in ‘Texting While Driving’ Death Thanks to an Exception to the Rule
Using a handheld device to text while driving is not only unsafe, but against the law in most states. So why isn’t a law enforcement officer who killed a bicyclist while he was operating a mobile device being charged in the death?

Beyoncé Clarifies Meaning of “Feminist”...Is feminism now merely the fig leaf that covers vulgarity

8/31/2014

found this on spearhead.com

But what does this say about feminism? It says that it doesn’t mean a damned thing. If you doubt me, just watch Beyoncé’s VMA awards video, during which she displays the word feminist during one song. After reading the jubilant response from feminists, I thought the word would be stamped on the screen the entire time, but it was just up for about a second. It followed a performance that featured a number of women lying on their backs and holding their legs in the air to display juicy, glistening buttocks and a clear shot of the pudendal cleft (at about 7:00), and then a pole-dancing routine (10:00).

THE TEA PARTY IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE TEA PARTY...

THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY IS DEAD, LONG LIVE THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY: UKIP

Quite recently the Conservative Party tried to bully the head of the oldest (small-c) conservative think-tank in the country by sending a legal letter to its chairman. Benjamin Harris-Quinney was told by Conservative HQ’s hired goons that he was attempting to “pass off” as a representative of the party via the Conservative Grassroots organisation, which to my knowledge has never professed to be affiliated to the party. Alas, Cameron’s cabal thinks they own the word ‘conservative’ – a glaring error on their behalf, alongside the fact that the law regarding “passing off” doesn’t apply to political parties anyway. Own goal number 2.

But I was reminded of this little nugget by Matthew Parris’s insolent, frothing column in the Times yesterday.

He who couldn’t hack the House of Commons has petulantly taken to the pages of the paper to personally attack Douglas Carswell MP, who recently defected to UKIP.

Consider Parris’s lines of attack as I quote him directly:

“Never trust a man in love with his own probity,” he begins, failing to acknowledge the irony that soon becomes his own sanctimonious rantings.

This quote from the link in the 1st paragraph is interesting....switch out Conservative with Republican and you have essentially the same exact scenario here in the U.S. with the Republican Party trying to crush the Tea Party...

The Conservative Party has in recent years been accused of taking a hostile and aggressive approach to grassroots conservative activists...

8/31/2014

How many of you here understand that light travels at 186,000 miles per second? Does anyone here know why light travels at 186,000 miles per second? Just to give you a little understanding of how fast that is...the 3rd rock from our sun is the earth, a 93,000,000 miles away from the sun, the earth is 25,000 miles in circumference, light travels at 186,000 miles will surround the earth 7 times in one second. You know why?  I'm going to give you the answer and then it's going to be your responsibiilty to respond back to me after this. Light travels at 186,000, miles per second because in Genesis chapter 1 verse 3 God said let their be light and light obeyed at 186,000 miles per second. Light travels 186,000 miles per second because God said it and light obeyed...

Found this on inc.com, read more at the link if you want to learn how to be a better leader...

I was watching the US Open yesterday and it got me thinking. Whether it's tennis, volley ball or even ping pong, these sports require a serve and a response. In business, whether intentional or not, leaders serve and employees respond. If leaders serve literally, then employees respond more positively and more productively. This article will give you tips on how to improve your game as a leader.

EBOLA CASES IN WEST AFRICA INCREASING, NOT DECREASING/ Breitbart.com

Authorities warn that cases of Ebola in western Africa seem to be on the rise, not the wane, with 40 percent of all known cases having been reported in just the last 20 days.

There are now over three thousand known cases of Ebola, most in the several nations of western Africa. So far, 1,552 people have died from the infection.

Not much reporting on this lately but...

The fear of the virus has even hit US colleges, many of whom have decided to put a close watch on any student coming from the African continent.

On Friday it was reported that several US schools will start screening students for Ebola

MSNBC Hosts: ‘Weak’ for Female Senator Not to Name Who Sexually Harassed Her...woman-up and stop acting like a victim

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough said Friday that it was “weak” for Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) to say she was sexually harassed in Congress but not to “name names” of those who harassed her.

Gillibrand wrote in her new book “Off the Sidelines” that one of her colleagues once pinched her waist and told her: “Don’t lose too much weight now, I like my girls chubby.” She said a congressman told her: “You know, Kirsten, you’re even pretty when you’re fat.”

Is it just me or does this seem extremely trivial? "one of her colleagues once pinched her waist and told her: “Don’t lose too much weight now, I like my girls chubby.”....Not exactly my idea of sexual harassment. Annoying, yes...in bad taste, yes...harassment? I think not. Are women not capable of ignoring bad behavior instead of being victims and making federal cases out of trivial things? I'd like to think I'm above that. Some guy pinches my waist is going to get b!$#*-slapped...problem solved. I'm not a touchy-feely kind of girl. Some guy tells me I'm pretty even when I'm fat? I'm going to tell him thank you and too bad tomorrow he will still wake up ugly...not too many good-looking faces in Congress so I'm presuming here...anyways, you have a right to free speech honey...not a right not to be offended...woman-up and stop acting like a victim all the time...it's getting old

Those who live by bureaucracy, die by bureaucracy.

Remember T.J. Guerrero, the 12-year-old entrepreneur who has faced years of official complaints from a crotchety neighbor bent on shutting down the boy’s lemonade stand?

ISIS ENJOYS NEW TOYOTA TRUCKS – COURTESY OF THE USA

Found this article on TruthandAction.org

ISIS, the worst band of psychopathic terrorists that has hit the world stage recently, has acquired the convenience of 43 Toyota Hiluxes trucks, courtesy of the United States.

The Toyota Hiluxes were on the ‘moderate’ Syrian terrorist wish list, so Obama obliged their wishes and sent them a few. Of course, the ‘moderate’ Syrian rebel terrorists, as Obama calls them, turn into ISIS terrorists once the cross the border. So…ISIS grabbed the trucks, of course, and perhaps made a small Thank You Party for Obama before taking them them across the border.
