Tel Aviv, Israel — It was more of the same Friday for the residents of Tel Aviv, as two massive blasts caused by Iron Dome battery missiles intercepted Hamas’s long-range rockets, shaking the skies Friday night. The intercept marks the 10th and 11th rockets fired from Gaza toward Tel Aviv in the past 30 or so hours. In the rest of the country, over one hundred rockets were fired from Gaza into Israel Friday.
Right before the Sabbath, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told reporters at an Army base in Tel Aviv that Operation Protective Edge would continue until Hamas stopped its terror attacks on innocents.
Netanyahu said, “We are weighing all possibilities and are prepared for all possibilities.” The Prime Minister said of regional terrorism, “We need to understand one fact: We are living in a Middle East that is being taken over [by] radical Islam, leading to the collapse of countries, and is knocking on our doors, both in the north and the south.”
The Israeli Prime Minister confirmed that the IAF has hit more than 1,000 Hamas targets in Gaza.
Speaking defiantly against international prodding upon the Jewish state, as some world leaders have demanded Israel work towards a ceasefire, Netanyahu said, “no international pressure will prevent us from acting with all our strength against a terrorist organization that calls for our destruction.” He continued, “I also asked them [world leaders] what they would do. Would they be willing to absorb rocket barrage attacks on London, Washington, Paris, and Moscow?
