MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com) - The manager of a university area convenience store said the same group of children that beat up three people last weekend at a supermarket parking lot stole more than $200 in candy bars, sunglasses, and sports drinks.
The robbery happened less than an hour after a mob terrorized people in a Kroger parking lot at Poplar Plaza.
The convenience store is only a little more than a mile and a half away from the Kroger.
This Circle K is just down the street from the Kroger parking lot where last weekend's mob incident happened. We have learned that some people involved in that mob scene ended up robbing the place.
The kids swarmed the store and stole things. Candy, sunglasses, and Gatorade. More than $200 worth of stuff.
The manager said when she saw the pictures from the Kroger, she told police these were the same people that robbed her store. She even remembered one kid wearing a green shirt.
