Monday, Vice News released a nine-minute documentary on what life is like under ISIS’s religious police – the Hisbah.
The footage, shot by Vice, captures how intensely devout ISIS is in enforcing their twisted belief system. Aside from stopping a man and his wife on the street because his wife’s veil fabric does not fit Shari’a fashion, ISIS also has an all-seeing eye into community life within the Islamic State. Punishments from not living according to ISIS’s cruel laws include everything from whippings to execution.
Clearly, Vice took a huge risk shooting footage of what U.S. military leadershave called “the most dangerous terrorists to walk the earth.” As the battle against ISIS rages, we can only hope that their dreams of spreading their empire are stomped out by all those who stand against evil.
