A group of upset parents gathered Friday at the Public Education Center saying they voted for Fischer on a platform opposed to high-stakes testing. They cannot change their votes, and are upset she could potentially change hers.
There are unknowns attached to the opt-out situation, but the group believes the board should allow more time beyond two days to address those issues.
The emergency meeting scheduled Tuesday morning is an inconvenient time slot for many parents, teachers and students, according to the group.
