The Midsouth Sentinel has been trying to watch the archives from today's meeting but can't due to technical difficulties so a full report will have to wait until tomorrow.
The Sentinel techies are hard at work trying to remedy the situation as you can see from the photo below....
I will give you a hint though. Councilmen Ford and Mayor Wharton had a brilliant idea to set aside 2 million dollars(you know cuz it's just monopoly money anyways) for a health insurance safety net for city workers and retirees who are facing cuts to their benefits. Apparently it all fell apart when councilmen started questioning where the money was actually going...Questioning the spending of taxpayer money? What a novel idea! The Midsouth Sentinel fully supports that.
Supposedly the money would go to the Administration to educaaaaate people....WOW! That clarification came from Councilwoman Fulilove and has sent our techies into a frenzy. You have to hand it to these guys, that took some creative rationalizations on a scale not seen since, well, a week and a half ago when they voted to cut the benefits.
We will have more on this tomorrow after my techies can pull themselves together.
P.S. Mayor Wharton and Councilman Ford, Sheila, the Bearded Dragon, she's not buying what your selling and trust me, she's one smart dragon....
