Fox News anchor Shepard Smith said he would bet “every penny I will ever make at this network” that Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia and Jordan won’t join the U.S. coalition against the Islamic State.
White House press secretary Josh Earnest claimed there will be a broad, international anti-Islamic State coalition, “including Muslim countries.” He went on to emphasize parts of the Muslim world will be united against Islamic State terrorists.
Pushing back, Smith proclaimed there will be “no commitment” in the fight against the terrorist group from Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
“I will bet every penny I will ever make at this network,” he said
“That’s a substantial bet,” Earnest replied.
“It is a big bet, and it is a good bet, because it’s not going to happen and the whole world knows it,” Smith added.
