MEMPHIS, TN (localmemphis.com)--Still no charges a day after Memphis police found a young boy chained up at a home in Fox Meadows.
Investigators say they received a call from an 8-year-old girl Thursday morning, saying her brother was chained up at their home on Gaywinds Ave.
When officer arrived at the home, they found the young boy chained up.
Neighbors still can't believe it.
"With all the activity going on, I'm still in shock because the neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. There's not a lot that goes on. And so, to hear something like this is alarming to us all," said neighbor Gregory Jackson.
Police say a total of six children were in the home, ranging in age from two to 14 years. They are all currently in the custody of a family member.
Police and DCS are both still investigating. So far, no charges have been filed.
