The first story about a bullied teacher, which aired Wednesday night on WMC Action News 5, prompted emails and phone calls from other teachers, including one who says students at LaRose Elementary School forced her to quit.
"And there were times that I would just cry and literally contemplate suicide over the job," said Beth Moore, whose last job in Shelby County was at LaRose Elementary School. She says she left before the school year ended because things had gotten so bad.
"I was physically, verbally, and emotionally abused by children," she added.
Moore, who is now a substitute teacher in Arkansas, says she was inspired to come forward by Grandview Heights Middle School math teacher DaNita Martin, who told the school board this week that she is also calling it quits.
"Students tell me, 'Who the F-bomb do you think you're talking to' and 'Shut the F up talking to me,' but they go unpunished," Martin told the school board.
