UPDATE: Police say the six-year-old child involved in an armed carjacking in East Memphis in the 900 block of North Highland was located safe at a relative's house in Tipton County. The mother is now in custody.

UPDATE: Police say they have located the car involved in an armed carjacking on North Highland. The car was found near Jackson and Macon at a BP gas station but they don't have the six-year-old child that was possibly inside the 1991 Honda Accord.
Memphis Police are canvassing North Highland for two suspects who carjacked a 1991 Honda Accord at gunpoint from a female and fled possibly with a six-year-old child inside.
