I am going to continue reposting this until the GOP finally gets a clue about what's going on and there's a fat chance they will never get it....and I'm adding this to the mix...This will make a few Beltway heads explode. Donald Trump’s real support is MUCH HIGHER than the current polls suggest. Via The Conservative Treehouse There’s a new meme being proclaimed from the executive suites of Park Row. Encapsulated it says: “Donald Trump’s supporters are angry“. Yeah, so? At this point, if you are on a team thinking this entire assembly of our union is headed in the right direction… you might want to revisit your proximity to the ballpark. If you look around at the passing landscape you’ll find your autopilot has taken you, not just out of the city, but out of the state the ballpark is located in….. There’s a level of anger far deeper and more consequential than expressed rage or visible behavior. Cold Anger does not need to go to violence. For those who carry it, no conversation is needed. You cannot poll or measure it; and even those who carry it avoid discussion. And that decision has nothing whatsoever to do with any form of correctness. Cold Anger is not hatred, it is far more purposeful. Cold Anger absorbs betrayal silently, often prudently. We’ve watched the shooting of cops, and the parades which follow, absorbing. Cold Anger takes notice of the liars, even from a great distance – seemingly invisible to the mob. Cold Anger will still hold open the door for the parade goer. Mannerly. Cold Anger evidenced is more severe because it is more strategic. Cold Anger does not gloat; it absorbs consistent vilification and ridicule as fuel. This sensibility does not want to exist, it is forced to exist in otherwise unwilling hosts – who also refuse to be destabilized by it. Deliberate intent and prudence will insure avoiding failure. The course, is thoughtful vigilance; a strategy devoid of emotion. Foolishness and betrayal of our nation have served to reveal dangers within our present condition. Misplaced corrective action, regardless of intent, is neither safe nor wise. Cold Anger is not driven to act in spite of itself; it drives a reckoning. Read the rest here... Via Zerohedge
All across Germany, a country with some of the most stringent gun-control laws in Europe, demand is skyrocketing for non-lethal self-defense weapons, including pepper sprays, gas pistols, flare guns, electroshock weapons and animal repellants. Germans are also applying for weapons permits in record numbers. The scramble to acquire weapons comes amid a migrant-driven surge in violent crimes — including rapes, robberies and aggravated assaults — in cities and towns throughout the country. German authorities, however, are going to great lengths to argue that the German citizenry's sudden interest in self-defense has nothing whatsoever to do with mass migration into the country, despite ample evidence to the contrary. The silence is in women’s emotional lives. What feminism insists we hide is not facts or bodily functions. Those we can flaunt—are encouraged to flaunt. We can talk about women stuff all we want. We just aren’t allowed to feel anything about it. That is the reason the essential pretense is so essential. Who has feelings about a clump of cells? The feminist comfort Kimball spoke of regarding her abortion did not tell her how she would feel about the procedure, but that she did not need to feel anything about it. Pregnancy is just a biological function. There is no need to bring emotion into it. That’s the patriarchy and social conditioning talking. Just dismiss those feelings. But then, one day, our desires change and the feelings don’t dismiss so easily. Occasionally, those undismissable feelings are not just about the baby. Feminists Learn Too Late We Need Men Read the rest here... I posted this story on the 18th but this new article makes a good point....Focusing on the NYT revision is missing the bigger point. Now there’s been a lot of focus on the NYT’s journalism malpractice here. And it warrants discussing. But let’s not miss the forest for the trees here which is that a bunch of journalists agreed to an off the record meeting with the President of the United States.
Via Hot Air New York Times editors also changed the story’s headline four separate times, according to Newsdiffs.org. Each headline revision either put Obama in a better light or put the GOP in a worse one. The original headline when the story was first published was “Obama Visiting National Counterterrorism Center.” Less than two hours later, the headline was “Obama, at Counterterrorism Center, Offers Assurances On Safety.” Then the headline was changed to “Frustrated by Republican Critics, Obama Defends Muted Response to Attacks.” Two hours later, the headline was once again revised to “Under Fire From G.O.P., Obama Defends Response to Terror Attacks.” The most recent headline revision, which accompanied the deletion of the passage where Obama admitted he didn’t understand the American public’s anxiety about terrorism, now reads, “Assailed by G.O.P., Obama Defends His Response To Terror Attacks.” The headline about Obama’s “muted” response suggests that even Times editors recognized the detail about cable news was important; it was O’s own explanation, however surreal, for why his response was muted. It explained, for instance, why he thought it’d be smart after mass murder in Paris to go out there and lecture Americans about their intolerance of Syrian refugees. That’s what happens when you miss a few episodes of “Hardball,” I guess. So then: Give me a theory of why that detail would have been dropped that doesn’t boil down to some variation of “The White House called up the Times and threatened to limit access if they left it in there.” What I’d like to know is when, precisely, the detail disappeared relative to when people like Stelter were making it go viral on Twitter. Did the Times publish it initially not realizing just how embarrassing it was for O, only to spring into action and send it down the memory hole once their readers pointed it out? Or did Team Obama recognize the damage once the first draft of the story went live and then take aggressive action to have it torn down? Give me a scenario where this info wasn’t removed for political reasons. Was the bit about Obama and cable news factually wrong? If so, who was the NYT’s source? Why don’t they burn him/her as punishment? Was it just that the story was eating up too much space in the print edition? If so, how do you explain this? Read the rest here... You see, in order to make sense of everything around us our brain has to simplify it.Thousands of auditory, tactile and visual inputs every minute bombard us. In order to survive we have to narrow down and focus on what’s important. It’s a human trait which ensures survival and it’s been around ever since our grubby-looking ancestors were to be found running from lions in the savannah. Our brain has to quickly categorize, file, and trash information. It sure is an efficient search and retrieval system. But in its search for efficiency the brain looks at a particular piece of information, goes and rummages around in the back and retrieves anything similar as a reference point. The more instances of our brain coming up with such reference points, the greater our reinforcement of that particular item or topic. If we’re staring at a strange round-shaped object trying to figure out what it is, our brain searches diligently for information on round shaped objects – baseball, cricket ball, tennis ball… you get the picture. It then attempts to match those retrieved pieces of data with what we’re looking at. The default in our brain is therefore to something which already exists, or something which looks like something which already exists. It is far easier for our brain to compute this and takes far less work. Remember the brain is an absolute energy hog, consuming a quarter of your body’s energy even while it accounts for barely 2% of your body weight and it therefore is constantly attempting to conserve energy. This explains why drastic, revolutionary, disruptive answers to existing problems very rarely come from existing channels or are identified by those who are embedded in the particular sector experiencing the problem. To prove my point consider that Uber wasn’t conceived of by a taxi driver. Paypal wasn’t birthed by a banker. Airbnb wasn’t the product of hoteliers, and Instagram wasn’t the brainchild of a photographer. All have disrupted industries in their own right and yet none look remotely like the industry which they disrupt. What Does All This Have to Do With the Dollar and Currencies? Read the rest here... Editor’s Note: The Christmas season brings both hope and despair. Despair from the loved ones that are not with us during this time… hope, knowing Jesus’s love for us all, saves us for our time in heaven. “Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the armor of kings, to open before him the two-leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; I will go before you, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of bronze, and cut asunder the bars of iron: And I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the LORD, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel.” (Isa 45:1-3) Read the rest here... It's been awhile since I posted anything on Jessica Chambers but the following was posted on the one year anniversary of her death. And then this story was posted just yesterday...Hunt for Justice in Woman’s Burning Death Leads to Arrests of 17 Suspected ‘Black Gangster Disciples, Vice Lords, and Sipp Mob’ Gang Members
Unfortunately none of the charges are for her murder....FBI: Investigation into teen burned alive yields gun, drug arrests Via The Conservative Treehouse One year ago today Jessica Lane Chambers was murdered. There are numerous commemorative stories – Example Here – and – Example Here However, let there be no doubt of my own personal opinion based on hundreds of hours of research and a thorough review of all the events, facts, evidence, geography, suspects, investigators and, more importantly, the local community. Jessica’s murder is “unsolved” because the Sheriff Dennis Darby, and the Mississippi District Attorney, John Champion, do not want it solved. Let me be crystal clear so there is no misconstruing my position: Dennis Darby and John Champion do not want this murder solved.Period – End of statement. Read the rest here... On Tuesday June 10th Speaker Boehner, Eric Cantor (Majority Leader) and Kevin McCarthy (Majority Whip) had lunch together discussing timing the vote Thursday night or Friday Morning. However, later that same night the results from the 2014 Virginia primary showed an unknown conservative outsider, Dave Brat, had defeated (primaried) Eric Cantor. At 7:00pm Tuesday night the first word went out that Cantor had lost. Boehner, McCarthy and Cantor were STUNNED beyond belief. The next day, Wednesday June 11th, the House of Representatives was also in a state of shock – Almost the entire reason for the defeat was the controversial immigration position of Cantor. Immediately panicked GOP congresscritters were calling Kevin McCarthy and revoking their previous (2 days earlier) positions of support for the bill. By lunchtime Wednesday June 11th it was obvious the Immigration Bill was NOW DEAD in the House. That’s how close it was. Literally within hours of a vote for passage. Amnesty didn’t die because of Senator Ted Cruz or anything he did or didn’t do. The gang of eight bill had already passed the senate. Amnesty died exclusively because candidate Dave Brat beat House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. Period. Read the rest here... |
