I believe that bigotry and racism, I believe that homosexuality and this transgender issue that is so perplexing to so many people right now, all of these issues....every one of them actually stem from our basic ignorance concerning our identity. .......
But I think it's something more basic than that ....I believe at the bottom root of it all is you have an identity crisis and it's not that you don't know who you are, it's that you don't know who you are not. You see, someone whose' bigoted and angry and hateful and racist, they don't know who they're not. They think they are God and so they think they are superior and they think they can look down and judge people and think they are better than people because of their race because of their bigotry. You see, they don't know who they're not. They're not God.
People who struggle with gender identity and the whole homosexual movement, they struggle not only with who they are but with who they are not. Any time you start to mess with your body as a created being and you tell the creator that he messed up you're messing with something because you don't know who you're not. You're not God.
Christians struggle with this too. Before you can settle who you are, you must settle who you are not. Once you can settle who you are not you can really walk with authority in who you are....."
