The Boston Globe published an article (propaganda) about George Soros and Charles Koch uniting to end U.S forever war policy which is hilarious on it's face but I found the article interesting and I believe I can deconstruct it in a way that explains exactly what they are up to....I laughed as I read along but I begin to realize the further I read the more apparent it was becoming....the elites are quaking in their boots.
Let's dive in......
BESIDES BEING BILLIONAIRES and spending much of their fortunes to promote pet causes, the leftist financier George Soros and the right-wing Koch brothers have little in common. They could be seen as polar opposites. Soros is an old-fashioned New Deal liberal. The Koch brothers are fire-breathing right-wingers who dream of cutting taxes and dismantling government. Now they have found something to agree on: the United States must end its “forever war” and adopt an entirely new foreign policy.
The article calls the Koch Brothers right-wing. Is that based upon their support for open borders so they can have cheap labor or their alignment with forces on the left that seek to censor the conservatives on social media under the guise of protecting us from hate speech. The Koch Brothers mythos of being right-wing is just another MSM generated narrative that bears no resemblance to reality.
And these two billionaires want to end America's "forever wars" and adopt "an entirely new foreign policy?"
Uhuh.
Soros and Koch are uniting to revive the fading vision of a peaceable United States. The street cred they bring from both ends of the political spectrum — along with the money they are providing — will make this new think tank an off-pitch voice for statesmanship amid a Washington chorus that promotes brinksmanship.
These billionaires are not war weary. Our ME policy of perpetual wars does not bother them. What bothers them is they cannot lie us into anymore new wars. Their ministry of information (MSM) can no longer direct the public sentiment in ways that would create support for another war.
Think on this....Woodrow Wilson was elected using the slogan "He Kept Us Out Of War".
Remember shortly after Trump was elected H.R. McMaster was gunning for thousands more troops to be sent into Syria because Assad was gassing his people? Thankfully POTUS is not a warmonger and H.R. McMaster did not get his way because as it turns out, Assad did not gas his own people.
Remember when President Trump was going to start nuclear war with North Korea? At the same time the MSM was criticizing POTUS for being a loose cannon who would stumble us into WWIII I wondered as they breathlessly reported on Orange Man Bad and lack of foreign policy skills if they were secretly hoping for world war. Thankfully POTUS outsmarted everyone once again and the recent photos of the American president walking with the North Korean president at the DMZ are profound and earth-shattering. He has done what no other president has been able to do....plus once again we get peace instead of war.
Remember when L'il Marco was desperately tweeting about Venezuela and the possible need for intervention there? He's still hoping there will be "multilateral actions" there or what we call just another foreign war.
Just keep this in mind when you see the next skirmish where there is a bombing and possible loss of life that it is supposed to trigger us into war with Iran.....If the Iranians didn't start a war with us when our government shot down one of their passenger airliners killing almost 300 Iranians....accidentally...then I think we can hold up on the trigger happy warmongers like John Bolton who are looking for any excuse to start up another Middle Eastern war.
“This is big,” said Trita Parsi, former president of the National Iranian American Council and a co-founder of the new think tank."
Who else will be involved? Author and retired Army Colonel Andy Bacevich who once said this about POTUS "Donald Trump is a fool. Let there be no doubt on that score."
How about Susan Dimaggio, a critic of American Foreign Policy?
Or how about Stephen Wertheim, Historian and writer?
“The Quincy Institute will invite both progressives and anti-interventionist conservatives to consider a new, less militarized approach to policy,” Bacevich said, when asked why he signed up.
In concrete terms, this means the Quincy Institute will likely advocate a withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan and Syria; a return to the nuclear deal with Iran; less confrontational approaches to Russia and China; an end to regime-change campaigns against Venezuela and Cuba; and sharp reductions in the defense budget.
Combine the news of a new think tank with this story that was posted a few weeks ago....
THEY (whoever they is) have lost control of the masses.
No one is watching MSM news and anyone that happens to hear an MSM narrative through the social media pipeline rolls their eyes and giggles a bit when they hear it. The censorship is going to get worse before it gets better but even if they succeed in quashing all of our voices we still aren't going back to a world where CNN spouts off some fake narratives and the people go along with it.
This last paragraph of the Soros on Koch article says it all...
“Some interesting currents are emerging in American politics and we want to capture this moment, but we’re in it for the long haul,” said Parsi. “We’ll be a failure if in 10 years we’re still criticizing. In 10 years, we want to be driving the bus.”
